Queen Elizabeth And Royal Family Are Responsible For Prince William, Prince Harry Split
While there are reports that there is a rift in Prince William and Prince Harry’s relationship, it appears the brothers have been at odds since they were kids. Although Prince Charles and Princess Diana attempted to make both children feel cherished, the monarchy got in the way.
When William and Harry were young, they were involved in an ongoing rivalry, which was reportedly caused by Queen Elizabeth and the rest of the Royal Family.
According to Express UK, Princess Diana’s bodyguard, Ken Wharfe, claimed Prince Harry was jealous of the attention William received due to his future as King. The Princess of Wales’ former employee revealed Harry’s envy became clear during a fight the siblings had in the back of a car.
Wharfe revealed Diana reprimanded the boys and threatened to take them back to Kensington Palace if they didn’t behave. “I don’t care what you do! I’m not going to be king so I will be able to do whatever I like,” Harry reportedly told William.
Wharfe claimed the statement seemed to surprise everyone in the vehicle. “All the adults in the car looked at each other and thought, where the hell did that come from? There was a sense that from a very young age, Harry thought he could do whatever he wanted, while his brother had to shoulder all the responsibility.”
Despite Harry’s feelings, Princess Diana previously told a friend the boys were treated the same. “Charles and I worked so hard to ensure both boys receive equal amounts of our time and love; others in the family seem to concentrate on William.”
Harry continued to feel his brother was the favorite and expressed his feelings to Diana after he noticed people “made a fuss over” over William during visits with their great-grandmother.
Although Prince William seemed to get more attention growing up, nowadays, Prince Harry’s relationship with Meghan dominates headlines everywhere. Now that the brothers have split charities and begun to focus on their different paths, the two have the opportunity to enjoy the spotlight separately.
