Queen Elizabeth II allegedly snubbed Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, but Prince William and Kate Middleton defused the tension.

According to royal correspondent Rebeca English of Daily Mail, the Queen dropped the Duke and Duchess of Sussex from the main VIP party. Prince Harry and Markle were reportedly told to make their own way to their seats at the front of Westminster Abbey and wait alongside Prince Edward and Sophie, Countess of Wessex.

Meanwhile, Queen Elizabeth II was set to be joined by Prince Charles, Camilla Parker Bowles, Prince William and ate Middleton for the entrance. About 2,000 orders of service have been printed and signed off which clearly stated that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge would enter with the main royal party.

Prince Harry and Markle were reportedly upset. Prince William and Middleton defused the tension by opting to join the Sussexes. The Cambridges offered to just wait for the Queen on their seats, causing the monarch to enter the venue with the heir apparent and Duchess of Cornwall only.

However, Prince William and Middleton’s effort to extend an olive branch didn’t go well. They were accused of snubbing Prince Harry and Markle when they arrived on their seats because they barely acknowledged the Sussexes.

Prince Harry and Markle said, “Hello.” The duchess even waved at them. Prince William nodded at his sister-in-law while Middleton didn’t look at them.

“When you compare Harry and Meghan’s interaction with William and Kate to their interactions with the other people around them, it gives you a sense of, why would it be different and I think a natural conclusion would be, something is up,” body language expert Bianca Cobb said of the fab four’s interaction.

“Kate had zero acknowledgement when taking her seat near Harry and Meghan.”

Meanwhile, several slammed the future king and queen for being cold toward the Sussexes. Many felt that they were only making things worse.

“OMG look at this! That looks like a blatant snub by William and Kate,” one wrote.

“I'm sad about this...didn't acknowledge each other,” a different user opined.

Another suggested that maybe Prince William, Prince Harry, Middleton and Markle already met before they entered the venue that’s why they didn’t talk much. Several also said that the Cambridges actually acknowledged the Sussexes, but the interaction was limited because they were attending a formal event.
