Queen Elizabeth Stunned In Matching Blue Suit With Queen Mother, Princess Margaret
Queen Elizabeth stunned in her blue suit and skirt several years ago.
In the throwback snap, Her Majesty is wearing a matching attire with her younger sister, Princess Margaret. The Queen and Princess Margaret both had a brooch on their coat, and their curly hair is fixed in a similar way.
Also featured in the photograph are their parents, King George VI and the Queen Mother. The latter is wearing same-colored attire with her daughters. But unlike the Queen and Princess Margaret, the Queen Mother’s long-sleeved dress appears to be one piece.
King George VI, on the other hand, is wearing his official uniform. All members of the royal family featured in the photo are smiling. However, King George VI is the only one who didn’t show off his teeth.
And the snap also revealed that the Queen takes after her father more than her mom. And Princess Margaret shares more resemblance with the Queen Mother than her father.
The monarch is just 16 years old in the photo taken in 1942. And just five years later, she would tie the knot with Prince Philip and start a family of their own. Just one year after their wedding, the couple welcomed their first child, Prince Charles.
At present, the Queen has already been the head of the monarchy for 67 years. This means that Prince Charles has also been waiting to take over the throne for several years. But there are rumors that he might not have to wait much longer.
In the book “Charles at Seventy,” royal author Robert Jobson said that the Queen would most likely abdicate in 2021 at the age of 95. When this happens, Prince Charles will become King.
“I understand the Queen has given the matter considerable thought and believes that, if she is still alive at 95, she will seriously consider passing the reign to Charles. Her Majesty is mindful of her age and wants to make sure when the time comes, the transition of the Crown is seamless,” he said.
But according to New Idea, the Queen will most likely abdicate – if she ever will – in 2022 because this will mark her 70th year on the throne.
