Queen Elizabeth II reportedly shot down Prince Harry’s wife Meghan Markle.

Previous reports claim that Her Majesty has banned the Duchess of Sussex from using her jewelry collection. Commentator Gavin Gray suggested how Markle sparked a “chilling reaction” from the Queen after she demanded to be allowed to wear one item from the monarch’s vault.

“There was this row where Meghan wanted this particular necklace, Harry said ‘Meghan gets what Meghan wants,’ and the Queen turned around and said ‘oh, no, she doesn’t. I decide what necklace is going to be worn out of the Royal Collection,’” Gray told Studio 10.

He said that Prince Harry wasn’t happy about it as he felt that his wife was being “looked down.” The Duke of Sussex felt that Markle wasn’t given the same footing as Prince William’s wife Kate Middleton. Gray added that this is an ongoing battle and the row is brewing.

“It’s been reported that certain pieces, which have been worn by Kate, Duchess of Cambridge, are not going to be allowed to be loaned to Meghan, Duchess of Sussex,” he continued and explained that this is due to “pecking order.”

Middleton is married to the future king. Although both Middleton and Markle would have to curtsy to blood princesses like Princess Anne, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie when their husbands are not around, the Duchess of Sussex reportedly has to curtsy to Middleton at an event with the Queen in attendance.

Back in November, many were surprised to find Markle standing in a different balcony during Sunday’s Remembrance Day. The pregnant royal was with German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier’s wife Elke Budenbender while Camilla Parker Bowles, Queen Elizabeth II and Middleton were on the same terrace.

Initially, netizens speculated that there was not enough space for Markle in the balcony where the Queen, Duchess of Cornwall and Duchess of Cambridge were standing so she was placed in a different area. However, it turned out that the arrangement was also due to the pecking order.

Both Camilla and Middleton were married to future kings, so they joined the current monarch. On the other hand, it’s unlikely for Markle to be queen because Prince Harry is way down the line of succession.

In related news, Markle is expected to deliver her baby soon. Betting odds suggest that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex might welcome their firstborn this week.
