  • Tarantino confessed that he now wants to pursue his career as a writer

Quentin Tarantino stunned the world when he first said that he is only going to make ten movies throughout his directing career and after the release of “Once Upon A Time In Hollywood,” the curiosity level of his fans is really high because they want to know all the details about the final project that the director will be making.

Talking about his future plans and the highly-anticipated tenth movie, Tarantino revealed that people would surely get to see a link between his last film and “Reservoir Dogs” — his first film as a director.

Speaking with media reporters after his Golden Globes victory, the “Django Unchained” filmmaker noted that his last movie will be like “dropping the mic” on what has been a stupendous career. He started by saying that he likes the idea of making just 10 films and then do whatever he wants to do next, like writing plays and TV shows.

“ I look at the idea of a ten-film filmography where I spent the last 30 years where I gave everything that I had - then dropping the mic. I'll write plays, write TV, but the filmography will stand. There is an umbilical cord from the tenth film to Reservoir Dogs, all the way to the end. I think that's kind of cool,” Tarantino said.

The Academy Award-winning filmmaker concluded by saying that he would now like to pursue a career in writing. “It would be just me and my pen and a piece of paper and just kind of dealing that way,” Tarantino said.

His statement comes after he won the Best Screenplay award for the comedy-drama set in the 1960s. The movie also took home the trophy for Best Motion Picture (Comedy or Musical) at the star-studded event.

In November last year, the “Kill Bill” helmer confessed that he needs to complete some other projects before even thinking about his last film. He revealed his plans to finish making a TV series, writing a book and a play before returning to the big screen.

As to what movie that would be is still a question mark because Tarantino recently admitted that he might not be able to direct the upcoming “Star Trek” film after being attached to the project for more than two years.

“I think I am steering away from ‘Star Trek,’ but I haven’t had an official conversation with those guys yet,” Tarantino said.

In related news, Tarantino’s latest film, starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Brad Pitt, Margot Robbie and Julia Butters in pivotal roles, will be looking forward to the Critics’ Choice Awards on Sunday, where it is nominated for 12 trophies.
