R. Kelly promised a 17-year-old aspiring singer stardom in exchange for sex, but he gave her herpes and later beat her with his sneakers instead, his alleged victim told a court Monday.

The 54-year-old singer, whose real name is Robert Sylvester Kelly, allegedly met the high school junior at the Dolphin Hotel in Orlando, Florida, days after she got his attention at an April 2015 concert during his "Black Panties" tour, the New York Daily News reported.

"I was 17," the woman, identified as Jane Doe 5, told jurors in Brooklyn federal court, according to the New York Post.

Doe, now 23, allegedly received Kelly’s number from his associates and was told, “Don’t tell anyone.” She was then allegedly forced to strip down to her underwear and was coaxed by Kelly into performing oral sex on him during a meet-up that was masked as an audition.

"I’ll take care of you for life," Kelly allegedly told Doe. She was allegedly promised stardom in exchange for sex, but she later contracted herpes from him.

"Every single time we had sex, I had discomfort in my lower abdomen and pelvis. It got to the point where I couldn't even physically walk," Doe was quoted as saying.

Kelly allegedly joked about the sexually transmitted disease, saying, "Everyone has it, not a big deal." He allegedly also said, " I think you p---y is broken," according to Doe.

"I was devastated. This man purposely gave me something he knew he had. That he could have controlled," Doe testified.

Kelly allegedly controlled Doe's life for years, forcing her to have an abortion in 2017 and making her record a video falsely accusing her mom of abuse.

Additionally, Kelly allegedly beat Doe with his size 12 Nike Air Force 1 shoe at an Atlanta Hyatt Hotel after she admitted that she had told a friend about their relationship.

"Are you ready to be honest?" Kelly allegedly asked as he punched and slapped the victim, who was a foot shorter than the 6-foot-tall singer, as per the New York Daily News.

Doe traveled the country to attend Kelly's shows on the singer's dime during her time with him, she told the court. She reportedly hoped it would jumpstart her own singing career, but Kelly was more focused on sex.

Doe is expected to continue her testimony Tuesday.

Kelly is facing nine counts of racketeering, with prosecutors accusing him of sexually abusing girls and women and enlisting cohorts to recruit victims, the New York Post reported. He also faces charges under the Mann Act, a law from 1910 that forbids transporting "any woman or girl" over state lines for "immoral acts."

Kelly faces similar charges in Illinois and Minnesota. Prosecutors alleged Kelly kept a harem of underage girls that he molested at his Chicago mansion and elsewhere.

Kelly, who has been locked up at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn since July 2019, has denied the allegations.
