Racer turned porn star Renee Gracie recently expressed her frustration over the OnlyFans website, the platform where she claims to have earned half a million in just a month.
The 25-year-old Australian creator was not happy after encountering some technical issues while using OnlyFans, a content subscription platform home to many sex workers. She revealed that the site failed to load after a few tries and that she received a prompt saying, “We’ll try your destination again in 15 seconds.”
Sharing the screenshot of the prompt on Instagram Story, Gracie wrote, “I’ve paid them that much commissions and the site is bulls--t,” referring to OnlyFans keeping 20% of each creator's earnings as a fee.
“Honestly OnlyFans does my head in with how bad this platform is,” the former V8 supercar driver continued.
Gracie, who is now one of the top creators on OnlyFans, also teased that she has a surprise in store for fans to celebrate her one-year anniversary on the site. “I’m 12 months on the platform this month and have some exciting news to announce soon. Stay tuned,” she added.
But while she may have some criticisms about the website, Gracie has no regrets about joining the adult entertainment industry after quitting racing. In an August interview with fellow OnlyFans content creator Gina Stewart, she revealed that she is much happier now than when she was still racing.
“I love what I do now. I never thought I’d do it. When I raced, I got slammed for my looks and appearance, my weight and so on. To this day it still affects me,” the porn star revealed.
Gracie also gushed about OnlyFans during the interview, saying that the platform is a “relatively safe place” where fans who “support me and like me for who I am” are in. Moreover, she said she makes a lot more money now than she did as a racecar driver.
“I was averaging about $70,000 a month up until recently when I got a lot of media attention and I had a few stories go viral. I know the figures but let’s just say I made half a mill in the month of June!” she shared.
Gracie explained that she used to earn around $43,000 to $57,000 per year when she sold cars after she quit racing. Money had been one of the reasons she had to turn her back on her sports career, along with problems with her previous manager.
“For many reasons, it was hard to get funding, and I was also having issues with my manager. I started to lose my passion for it as it was just getting so hard to achieve, especially for a female,” she recalled of her time as a V8 Supercar driver.
