Rachel McAdams’ Stunning Green Oscar Dress Belongs To Soon-To-Be Launched Fashion Collection
Rachel McAdams was one of the actresses who looked gorgeous during the recently held Oscar Awards. Her appearance on the red carpet event was one of the highlights of the Academy Awards. A latest fashion report has revealed that the actress’ Oscar dress was part of a new fashion line that has yet to hit the runways.
McAdams’ stylists Rob Zangardi and Mariel Haenn shared in an interview with People magazine that the actress’ emerald backless silk dress was part of August Getty’s upcoming collection. The Los Angeles-based designer’s new fashion line is set to hit the Paris runways on March 5. Zangardi and Haenn also recounted how the Oscar-nominated actress gushed about the dress and described it as “amazing.”
Haenn and Zangardi also shared that McAdams’ red carpet gown was initially her dress for the Vanity Fair after-party. Both stylists had even removed part of the five-foot train so that the actress will be able to move freely. However, she eventually changed her mind. The two then requested the designer to provide a new train to complete McAdams’ Oscar look.
Zangardi even mentioned some of the details of the Getty-designed gown. The stylist stated that the back of the dress featured a pleated center and that it flows out in an almost triangle shape at the end. “It looks like one train, but it’s actually a pleated train within the train. It’s so amazing,” Zangardi added.
Fashion lovers and critics also took notice of the “Notebook” actress’ red carpet look. Some even compared the thigh-high slit of her emerald dress to the red carpet look that Angelina Jolie previously sported, Popsugar stated.
McAdams may not have been one of the winners during the 88th Academy Awards held Sunday, Feb. 28. She was nominated for Best Supporting Actress for her role in “Spotlight.” However, the actress’ red carpet dress was a winning look for many fashion lovers and critics.
