Radiohead's Thom Yorke To Sell His 2005 Painting At London Auction House Bonhams

A painting made by Radiohead frontman Thom Yorke is selling for as much as $6,200 at a London auction house.

Created for the U.K.-based Trade Justice Movement in 2005, the painting – co-created with artist Stanley Donwood – is a little over 10 feet long. Proceeds from the auction will go to the nonprofit group.

It depicts a money-minded man holding a blood-soaked briefcase shaking hands with what appears to be a person in a skirt. Both figures are flanked by kneeling skeletons and bearish cherubim. Across the top is painted: “Business School For The Dead.”

Bonhams, the London-based auctioneer, estimated the piece’s price somewhere between $5,400 and $6,200. Yorke said he is hoping a Wall Street type will find some irony in shilling for the painting.
