Rafa Nadal vs. David Ferrer, Andy Murray vs. Stan Wawrinka: TV Channel, Start Time, Live Stream For ATP World Finals
No. 2 Andy Murray looks to keep his high ranking and for a spot in the ATP World Tour Finals semifinals in Friday’s final group stage against No. 4 Stan Wawrinka at O2 Arena in London.
Murray recently fell to No. 5 Rafael Nadal on Wednesday, putting his year-end ranking in jeopardy and denying him a shot at the semifinals in the last tournament of the season.
Meanwhile, Nadal has already secured advancement to the next round and will face No. 1 Novak Djokovic in the semifinals, but must first duel with No. 7 David Ferrer before Murray and Wawrinka meet.
Seeking a spot in the semifinals and a shot at No. 3 Roger Federer, Murray and Wawrinka haven’t faced each other in two years but the Scotsman owns an 8-6 all-time record against this year’s French Open victor.
Wawrinka’s enjoyed perhaps the best season of his career, but he’s played unevenly in London. He dropped Ferrer 7-5 6-2, but couldn’t get a handle on Nadal and slipped 3-6 2-6. Murray also claimed a victory over Ferrer and lost to Nadal in straight sets in the early part of the group stage.
And while Wawrinka and Murray’s all-time matchup has been relatively even, Nadal’s dominated fellow Spaniard Ferrer across their 29 career matches. Nadal’s gone 23-6 against Ferrer, losing just three matches in the last four years.
