'Ralph Breaks the Internet' Continues To Top Box Office
Disney’s “Ralph Breaks the Internet” is maintaining its lead.
The movie still rules the weekend box office with a total of $25,756,000 in ticket sales. According to Box Office Mojo, “Ralph Breaks the Internet,” also known as “Wreck-It Ralph 2,” earned $119,294,233 from Nov. 30 to Dec. 2. Rotten Tomatoes also reported that the film has now tied with “Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa” and “Moana.”
Meanwhile, “Dr. Seuss' The Grinch (2018)” toppled over “Creed II” to emerge as this week’s runner-up. The film also had a total gross of $203,507,195. WB’s “Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald” stayed put on the fourth spot with a weekend gross of $11,200,000 and a total gross of $134,341,406.
“Bohemian Rhapsody,” starring Rami Malek as Freddie Mercury, also stayed strong on the fifth spot at the box office. It earned a total gross of $164,423,150 and a weekend gross of $8,100,000. As for the film “The Possession of Hannah Grace” starring Shay Mitchell, Nick Thune , Kirby Johnson and Grey Damon, it debuted on the box office charts at number 7. The film earned a weekend gross of $6,500,000. It bumped off “Robin Hood” from its previous spot.
Next up is the film “Widows,” which landed on the ninth position. It earned a total of $33,060,245. This weekend, it raked in $4,400,000. On the tenth spot is the movie “Green Book,” which earned a weekend gross of $3,900,000 and a total gross of $14,016,491. It displaced the film “A Star is Born," which only earned $1,905,000 this weekend. However, it’s interesting to note that the movie starring Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper has already earned a total gross of $193,822,436 and has been on the box office charts for nine weeks.
As for “The Nutcracker and the Four Realms,” it dropped 53.4 percent over the weekend. It earned $1,299,000 over the weekend, but has a total gross of $51,058,909.
“Ralph Breaks the Internet” is directed by Rich Moore and Phil Johnston. According to the Internet Movie Database (IMDb), it features the voices of John C. Reilly as Ralph, Sarah Silverman as Vanellope and Gal Gadot as Shank. Other actors and actresses who also lent their voices to the film include Taraji P. Henson, Jane Lynch, Alfred Molina, Ed O'Neill, Bill Hader, Dianna Agron, Nicole Scherzinger, Vin Diesel, Kevin Deters and Tim Allen.
