Rami Malek and Daniel Craig have opened up about locking lips on the set of their upcoming film, "No Time to Die."

Ahead of the release of Craig's final James Bond film this weekend, he and Malek, along with co-stars Lea Seydoux and Lashana Lynch and director Cary Fukunaga, sat down for an interview with Entertainment Weekly. During their chat, Craig explained why he kissed his co-star after filming.

"I kiss lots of people," Craig explained. "It's like, I'm a very friendly guy, and I wouldn't rank anybody. That would be a terrible, terrible thing to do, to rank the best kissers. I would just... how many people could I offend? Terrible. Thousands, thousands of people."

He continued, "Listen, this story's had legs about kissing Rami; I've just been trying to give it more legs. I don't know if it's on social media. I haven't got social media, but I said I used to kiss Rami after the end of every scene. It's like no big deal."

Malek joked that he would look forward to ending scenes because he would get kissed by Craig.

"I would just rush through scenes just to get to that moment that you would get kissed. 'Cary, Cary, two takes, we're good?'" the Oscar winner said.

Malek also claimed he predicted that Craig's introduction of the Weeknd on "Saturday Night Live" would go viral and become a meme because he was in the audience that night.

"You don't know about this," he said to his castmates. "It's gone viral, his announcement of the Weeknd on that show, and it's done so flawlessly that people pick it up because it's unusual in the best way. It's so unique. I was there that night in the audience watching it. I thought to myself at that moment, I looked over to my partner, and I said, 'I think that's the best introduction of a band I've ever heard on SNL and apparently...'"

"You were right," Craig added.

Meanwhile, Malek recently opened up about playing the villainous Lyutsifer Safin in "No Time to Die." According to the actor, the role was "very special" to him because he's a longtime Bond fan.

"I love a transformation, and you can look at all of the previous villains and what they have done, and it's just such a privilege to be in a long line of really exceptional actors," he told Entertainment Tonight. "And to be able to do something I felt was very nuanced and unnerving and unsettling, but something that excited me throughout."

Malek also revealed that he's a big fan of Craig and is thankful to have been part of his co-star's last stint as the legendary British spy.

"I think the guy is such a versatile actor and so to be able to be a part of allowing even more people to recognize that and celebrate it is such a gift. I wanted this to be a really special send-off to him, and I think we accomplished that," Malek said of Craig.

"No Time to Die" arrives in theaters Oct. 8.
