Rare Breed Of Hairless Baby Goat Born With Jet Black Skin Hailed Miracle By Locals
A hairless baby goat with jet black and wrinkled skin born in a village in Turkey has captured the minds of the locals, who call him a "miracle."
The rare breed of goat was born on a small farm owned by Huseyin and Aysel Tosun in the village of Ciris, in the southern Turkish province of Mersin. The couple, who has bred a countless number of goats, was stunned to see the bizarre kid who was one among the twin goats born on the farm recently. The other kid was looking normal but was stillborn, as reported by Republic World.
Aysel initially feared that the baby goat that looked abnormal might die like the other twin, but to their surprise, the kid survived. The couple now takes care of their unique breed, just like their own child, even treating it with their grandchildren's syrup and injection when it gets a fever.
"I take him to his mother to feed. I dress him in my grandchildren's clothes. I bring him home and feed him if needs be. He has no hair, and this is the first time I've seen anything like it. I look after him like he's a child," Aysel, the proud owner, said.
A video that was posted by local news outlet Yeni Safak shows the hairless animal with blank wrinkled skin walking inside a house.
Meanwhile, many villagers who are amused by the rare birth started visiting the couple's farm. "I'm 67 years old, and this is the first time I've encountered anything like this. God Almighty sent this miracle here. We've seen a double-headed animal, but we've never seen anything like him," a relative of the family said.
In January, there were reports about a calf born with three eyes and four holes for nostrils in an Indian village. The rare mutant calf was born to a farm owner in the state of Chhattisgarh and many locals started worshipping the baby animal calling it an "incarnation of God." The mother cow gave birth to three calves but all the other calves have normal anatomy, according to reports.
