Although some fans were excited about Nene Leakes “Real Housewives of Atlanta” Season 12 debut on the Sunday night episode, cast member Kenya Moore didn’t think her return was a big deal.

The latest episode of the series marked Nene’s first appearance in the new season. The Swagg Boutique owner did not appear in the first two episodes of the season due to contract negotiations.

During Kenya’s appearance at Bravocon, she spoke to Entertainment Tonight about Nene’s first episode on “RHOA” Season 12. During the interview, the reporter read a previous statement Nene made about her co-stars.

“These girls, to me, all seem to want to be the queen or the one that everybody thinks of when they say, ‘Housewives,’ and I don’t think that that’s possible. I think there’s one queen, and there’s a lot of princesses,” Nene said in an earlier interview.

Kenya didn’t take too kindly to the comment and suggested Nene didn’t know much about what it meant to be a queen. “Well, honey -- a queen would be in the center of the opening, they would be in the first two episodes of the show. That is all,” the former beauty queen said.

However, Kenya wasn’t the only cast member who was unhappy about Nene’s comment. The reporter then read Kandi Burruss’ reaction to Nene’s statement. “I feel like everybody on this show is a queen,” Kandi stated.

Kenya acknowledged that Kandi’s response was more uplifting than hers, but she stood by her comment. “Well, that’s a good response too. Mine was just a little more shady,” Kenya noted.

As for what’s next on the “Real Housewives of Atlanta,” Kenya revealed she has mixed emotions about the new season.

“You know, it’s interesting. It’s just different. I’m a little nervous, I’m excited. I have a lot of feelings about it, yeah -- scared,” she said.

“Real Housewives of Atlanta” Season 12 airs Sundays at 8 p.m. EST on Bravo.
