Is ‘Real Housewives Of Atlanta’ Star Nene Leakes Friends With Cynthia Bailey Again?

Following Nene Leakes and Cynthia Bailey’s fall out at “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” Season 11 reunion, fans assumed the two were enemies. However, in a recent interview, the 52-year-old revealed new details about her relationship with her former pal.

“RHOA” Season12 is set to premiere in less than a week, and fans are anxious to see the drama unfold. Along with looking forward to the return of former cast member Kenya Moore, Cynthia also teased what viewers can expect when she and Nene reunite on the Bravo reality series.

During an appearance on E!’s Daily Pop Cynthia revealed she has spoken with Nene since their heated argument at the reunion. “We are in a better place than we were at the reunion, which was an awful place. But we’re not where we used to be, but you guys will see how it all plays out,” she explained.

“It was really hard for me this season because—you know how it is with friends—regardless of where we’re at, I still have love for her. I still have love for her family. It’s not like I just want to fight with Nene.”

Although she still needs to work on her friendship with Nene, Cynthia insisted viewers will see her undergo a dramatic change when “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” Season 12 premieres.

“I got a lot of personal closure this season. I’m in a great place in my life. I’m about to get married. I want to be around happy people that like me,” she shared.

While Cynthia has experienced some personal growth in the new season, she will also be involved in a lot of the drama.

“I pride myself on not being the one who’s usually in the thick of the drama, but I have to say season 12 is kind of different for me. If the drama’s not about me, I’m right next to it like it’s crazy,” she said.

“The Real Housewives of Atlanta” Season 12 will premiere Sunday at 8 p.m. EDT on Bravo.
