‘Real Housewives Of Atlanta’ Star Nene Leakes 'Frustrated’ Bravo Manipulated Kenya Moore Feud
Fans were shocked when talk show host Wendy Williams revealed she received a text that “Real Housewives of Atlanta” star Nene Leakes may quite the Bravo series. Following the announcement, the 52-year-old’s rep cleared up the conversation and denied the star was leaving the show.
However, those close to Nene have revealed she is upset with the way she has been portrayed on the Bravo series and believes the network is using fellow cast member Kenya Moore to ruin her image.
RadarOnline claimed Nene is upset she is being painted as a villain on “RHOA” Season 12. “She is very upset about her edits so far this season. She feels like her editing versus Kenya is unfair,” a source alleged to the website.
“Kenya gets away with murder time and time again, and Nene gets all of the criticism. NeNe feels like she is being used for ratings.”
The insider claimed the reality series has been receiving great ratings, and the network believes the Swagg Boutique owner is the key to attracting viewers. Due to the positive ratings, Bravo is worried about losing Nene as a cast member following Williams’ announcement.
“Show execs do not want Nene to leave. Nene is the driving factor in ratings. Her big blowout in Canada was the first episode to hit over two million for the season,” the supposed insider claimed.
However, Nene has not been happy during her time filming “Real Housewives of Atlanta” Season 12. Sources told Us Weekly the reality star feels like an outsider on the cast. “This season more than ever NeNe feels consistently attacked by the other ladies and unsupported by the network,” the insider said.
“With [husband] Gregg [Leakes] surviving cancer, she’s in a different head space and is extremely frustrated from the daily attacks she endures from the other women. She’s done being villainized for someone else’s gain.”
“Real Housewives of Atlanta” Season 12 airs Sundays at 8 p.m. EST on Bravo.
