KEY POINTS
- Real Madrid is coming from a La Liga championship
- One of Los Blancos’ promising talents is attacking midfielder Brahim Diaz
Real Betis and Getafe have gained interest for Diaz
The deep roster of Real Madrid includes several loanees that prove to be big assets for any club to have. One of these is attacking midfielder Brahim Diaz who has garnered a lot of interest from several teams including Real Betis and Getafe.
If Getafe gets a hold of Diaz, it would give the 21-year-old the opportunity to blossom as a star in the club per Fansided’s The Real Champs. With the incredible athleticism of Diaz coupled with the steadily improving Getafe gives the Spaniard an opportunity to excel as one of the team’s stars. With regular playing time for Getafe, he can develop his skills further and be exposed to more experiences of high-intensity football.
Other than this, Real Betis also offers a similar case with more minutes at the first division level. With Manuel Pellegrini taking charge as Real Betis’ coach, Diaz can flourish under the Chilean’s system. The services of Diaz have been on Pellegrini’s radar since the early 2010s per SB Nation’s Managing Madrid. Playing for Real Betis will put Diaz in a lineup mixed with players he can learn from such as Nabil Fekir and Christian Tello.
Throughout Diaz’s stint with Real Madrid, he suited up for 21 games and scored twice coupled with three assists. When he was loaned to Manchester City, he played in 33 matches and managed to score 11 times. To add to this, he also piled 10 assists as a loanee.
It will be interesting to see where Diaz ends up in the near future. Whether he’ll be shipped for a new chance to mature or to stay with Los Blancos, there’s no doubt that Diaz is a reliable talent.
The recent Real Madrid La Liga championship was a dominant display from Zinedine Zidane as they’re looking forward to the same success in the Champions League. The ever-reliable production of Zidane’s players propelled the veteran manager to his 11th trophy for the club. The team has won Champions League several times under Zidane’s guidance before and Diaz would need to increase his intensity if he ends up staying with Real Madrid.
