  • Bale and Regulion have complied the medical clearances that bring them closer to the Spurs

Securing the final pieces for Gareth Bale and Sergio Regulion’s move from Real Madrid to Tottenham Hotspur is close to a done deal. Passing their recent medical clearance puts the duo nearer to a new chapter with the Spurs.

Staying in Real Madrid has been a struggle for the Welsh star as he’s long been linked to an exit from the club. The Tottenham Hotspur’s organization will be his new home for now as he ended all the speculation about signing to Manchester United. A reunion to the Spurs for Bale is near as he has already completed the mandatory COVID-19 tests. The franchise’s former player of the year will play on a one-year loan and will earn a weekly wage of £600,000.

For Reguilon, his potential has also attracted his share of Manchester United rumors. These reports did not push through as he is confirmed to join Tottenham for £27.6 million on a long-term contract, per The Guardian.

Throughout the career of Reguilon, he’s spent most of his days developing under the Real Madrid Castilla program. Maturing as a defender, he recently finished a stint on loan with Sevilla. During his stay with the Los Palanganas, he appeared in 38 matches and he was able to net three goals and tally five assists.

Known as a hard worker, the consistency of Reguilon to put in the effort translates on the field. The Spaniard is scouted to be an excellent dribbler who has a knack of delivering accurate and precise passes that can further develop more under the Spurs. Improving the skills of Reguilon with Tottenham can be done with the guidance of a returning Bale.

Throughout Bale’s career, he was able to make a name for himself as a proficient scorer. In 203 appearances for Tottenham, he scored 56 times and tallied 58 assists. The former English League Cup Winner then transferred to Real Madrid in 2013 where he has currently played in 251 games coupled with 105 goals and 68 assists.

The new duo will be suiting up in a new perspective. It will be interesting to see how these two players will fare with the Spurs.
