Real Story Behind Angelina Jolie Crushing On David Beckham, Sending Secret Messages

Angelina Jolie has not been “quietly crushing” on David Beckham for years, despite rumors. Gossip Cop debunked the reports after speaking to Beckham’s spokesperson.

NW stated Jolie recently began sending secret messages to the former soccer star about collaborating on a charity project together, and added this was a scheme to get to know him better.

The magazine also quotes an insider saying, “Ange and David came very close to working with each other several years ago for an ad campaign, and she’s never been able to get him out of her mind since. She’s always had a crush on him.”

The alleged source went on to say the actress “got his contact details from one of their mutual pals and is trying to set up a get-together.” The source also claimed her motive for teaming up with Beckham was repairing her image amid her custody battle with Brad Pitt.

“Everyone loves David. He’s very popular with the fans and she would look good standing next to him. He can do no wrong, so hitching her wagon to him would be a smart PR move,” the source added.

According to the source Jolie “thinks they have lots in common – besides beauty and brains,” and hopes he will “teach some of his soccer moves” to her daughter Shiloh, “who’s a keen player.”

The magazine speculated Beckham’s wife Victoria will be unhappy with Jolie reaching out to her husband “given Ange’s ‘man-eater’ reputation.”

“Victoria pouts and kicks up a stink whenever David is seen getting friendly with other women, so there’s little doubt she is telling him not to sign up for any projects with Angelina,” the source concluded.

Gossip Cop checked with Beckham’s spokesperson who went on record to say the report was completely untrue and Jolie hasn’t reached out to him about teaming up on a charity project.

Last month, Gossip Cop had debunked another report in the outlet that falsely reported Jolie and Keanu Reeves were dating. The outlet claimed the two were “quietly dating” since July 2017, when they also took a “top-secret trip to a secluded Greek island together.” It had quoted an insider saying, “He loves kids and has been a good influence on Ange. He’s so kind, giving and genuine — all the qualities Ange now wants in a man. She’s done with the drama.”

People reported earlier this year Jolie wasn’t interested in getting back in the dating game and was focusing only on her children.

In September last year, Jolie opened up about withdrawing herself from the spotlight to focus on her children.

“I have had my ups and downs. I guess I am a little bit stronger. We all have our difficult times, but as a mother you also have a responsibility first and foremost towards the kids. They are going through their formative years and everything else comes second to that,” she said.
