The Real Story Behind Angelina Missing Brad Pitt After Filing For Divorce
Angelina Jolie does not miss talking to Brad Pitt two years after filing for divorce. A new report is claiming the actress misses the deep conversations she and her estranged husband used to have throughout the course of their marriage.
The “Mr. & Ms. Smith” stars have been embroiled in a heated custody battle over their six kids, Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh and twins Knox and Vivienne. Although a temporary plan was put in place over the summer, the actors have not reached a permanent custody arrangement.
Despite their focus on legal matters, Hollywood Life recently published an article suggesting Jolie has been reminiscing about the past amid her divorce with Pitt. A “source” reportedly told the gossip site the “Maleficent 2” star “misses their intimate conversations with each other.”
“Angie misses talking to Brad… Angelina misses connecting with her former best friend and lover,” the “insider” added.
The supposed confidante went on to allege that Jolie “misses sharing the ups and downs of life, her daily struggles… Angelina feels not talking to Brad anymore leaves a hole in her heart.”
However, a Jolie insider told Gossip Cop the Hollywood Life article is “not true.” While the gossip site claims Jolie misses talking to Pitt, when the actress first filed for divorce in 2016, sources revealed she cut off all contact with her husband.
“Angelina has blocked all incoming text messages and also Brad’s numbers,” a source told Us Weekly at the time.
Although more than two years have passed since the stars took steps to end their marriage, it appears they tend to communicate through their attorneys. In August, the actors engaged in a brief media feud, via their lawyers, after Jolie filed documents accusing Pitt of not paying “meaningful” child support.
Pitt’s lawyer, Lance Spiegel, filed a brief in response to Jolie’s claims by detailing Pitt’s $8 million loan which helped Jolie buy a new home for herself and their children. Spiegel described the documents filed by the actress’ team as “a thinly-veiled effort to manipulate media coverage.”
A rep for Jolie later fired back claiming Pitt’s brief was “misleading” seeing as the $8 million was a loan that the actress intended to pay back and did not qualify as child support.
Seeing as the two have not been able to negotiate the terms necessary to legally end their marriage, and the actress reportedly filed the child support documents as a way to speed up her divorce, it seems like Jolie is more focused on ending her connection with Pitt.
