The Real Story Behind Ben Affleck’s New Relationship Amid Rumors, Lindsay Shookus Split

Ben Affleck may have split with girlfriend Lindsay Shookus after a year-long relationship, but it doesn’t mean he has been spending his days at home alone.

Shookus, who hasn’t been photographed with Affleck since July, was noticeably absent from the actor’s birthday celebration on Wednesday. However, one day after his birthday festivities, the 46-year-old and Shauna Sexton sparked dating rumors.

After the two fueled further speculation over the weekend while making a fast food run, sources revealed the “Batman” star ended his relationship with the “Saturday Night Live” producer.

Insiders told People Affleck has been enjoying his blossoming romance with the Sexton. Prior to their trip to Jack In The Box, the pair reportedly spent some alone time together at the actor’s home. “They hung out at his house and also drove around on the west side,” the source said.

“They seemed to get along great. They were chatting and laughing. Ben looked happy,” the insider added.

Later on, the two reportedly “ordered a late dinner to his house and seem to enjoy getting to know each other.”

Last week, Affleck and Sexton were first spotted together on what appeared to be a first date at Nobu in Malibu, California. “He seemed interested,” an onlooker told the publication.

“They weren’t affectionate but seemed to have a fun dinner. He ordered for them and took care of the check. They chatted across from each other,” the eyewitness continued.

On Monday, E! News confirmed Affleck and Shookus split about two or three weeks ago. “They are still very amicable and have stayed friends,” a source shared.

An insider revealed the relationship fell apart after the actor learned the “SNL” staff member would not be able to relocate to the west coast. “They both tried to make it work, but the distance just proved to be too much for them right now. Family comes first for them both.”

Prior to his romances with Sexton and Shookus, Affleck married Jennifer Garner in 2005. The actors share three children together, Violet, 12, and Seraphina, 9, and Samuel, 6. The estranged spouses, who announced their split in 2015, have yet to finalize their divorce.
