The Real Story Behind Katie Holmes, Jamie Foxx’s Relationship Amid Rumored Issues

Although Katie Holmes has been spotted out with Jamie Foxx on a number of occasions, it doesn’t mean she is ready to share her relationship with the world. While attending a high profile party over the weekend, the actress reportedly kept her distance from her rumored boyfriend.

Since her 2012 divorce from Tom Cruise, who she shares daughter Suri Cruise with, Holmes has reportedly been dating Foxx. The stars have done their best to hide their romance and continued to keep things under wraps during a star-studded event.

Sources told Us Weekly Holmes and Foxx arrived at the Lumiere de Vie Hommes Launch yacht party in New York City together on Saturday night. “Jamie was holding Katie’s hand when they got out of their car and then they walked onto the boat together,” the insider said of the event.

“Jamie held her hand as she stepped up onto the ramp and they looked very much like a couple,” an onlooker added.

That was pretty much all the guests would see of Holmes for the rest of the evening. Sources revealed the couple “walked quickly through the party and were taken to private quarters in the back, where Katie stayed the rest of the night.”

However, Foxx wasn’t interested in missing the festivities and left his girlfriend to mingle with guests before taking over for the DJ. “Jamie went to the DJ booth and started spinning for the party,” the source shared.

“He was playing lots of ’90s hip-hop and hyping the party up, he really made everyone turn up and was a great DJ.”

News of the couple’s brief moment of PDA comes amid rumors Holmes has been considering dumping Foxx. Last month, an article claimed the actress was worried about Foxx’s friendship with “Django Unchained” co-star Leonardo DiCaprio. The story suggested the “Dawson’s Creek” alum feared DiCaprio’s playboy ways would dissuade the 50-year-old from settling down. However, a rep for the actress told Gossip Cop the allegations were “untrue.”

Rather than battling trust issues, a source previously told People the couple is more focused on their privacy. “Jamie and Katie’s relationship is not a secret but they both like to keep it under the radar,” the insider explained.

“They have nothing to hide but Jamie, especially, is very low key about his life in general, and rarely talks about it. He is not one to acknowledge anything about his private life and neither does Katie.”

Although Holmes opted to stay away from prying eyes during her latest outing with Foxx, it doesn’t mean the couple is having issues with their relationship.
