Reality Behind Amal Clooney Wanting George's Fortune, Ending 4-Year Marriage Amid Troubles
Rumors about George and Amal Clooney's marriage have resurfaced once again, with a new report claiming the human rights lawyer "dumped" her husband on their fourth anniversary. However, Life & Style magazine's claims were debunked by Gossip Cop.
According to the false report, Amal wanted “half his $1 billion fortune” and was allegedly “using him the whole time.” The report claimed the couple's marriage was over after Amal "dumped" him. The reason behind the alleged divorce was said to be that they didn’t spend their fourth wedding anniversary together Sept. 27, since the actor was in Los Angeles and his wife was in New York.
“The fact that they couldn’t manage to be in the same city and spend such an important day together was writing on the wall," an unreliable source said. “They are over as a couple... It’s pretty cold, but Amal had had enough.”
Another source told the magazine “George is starting to feel like she used him just to promote her career and get her hands on his fortune... I bet she would want primary custody” of their twins Ella and Alexander.
However, these rumors were completely untrue as the couple was not heading for a divorce and neither was their marriage over.
Since George's accident in July, his wife has not left his side, a source told People magazine in July. “It was obvious that she was concerned.”
On Friday, George attended Variety’s annual Power of Women luncheon at the Beverly Wilshire Four Seasons Hotel in Beverly Hills, California, where he introduced himself to crowd saying: “Hi, I’m George and I’m Amal Clooney’s husband.”
The couple has been surrounded by false claims about their marriage. A report by Life & Style magazine in September claimed they were embroiled in explosive fights.
Citing a close friend of the couple, the magazine claimed George was "trapped in a bad marriage" with Amal, and the duo were having bitter fights.
“They appear to have one of the best relationships going, but it just hasn’t been true lately… They’ve been at odds with each other like never before," the purported friend told the magazine.
However, Gossip Cop debunked the report saying there was no trouble between the two.
In July, rumors surfaced about George and Amal's $1 billion divorce as the lawyer was "fed up and they’ve been fighting constantly.” This claim was also rejected by Gossip Cop.
