Jennifer Aniston broke down in tears after an “awkward” run-in with Brad Pitt at a restaurant last week, Woman’s Day Australia claimed. However, Gossip Cop debunked the report saying the "story is completely fabricated."

According to an unreliable source, Aniston was “visibly distressed as she left a Hollywood bistro” as she had an unexpected encounter with her ex-husband. The recent claim came after weeks of rumors surrounding Aniston and Pitt's reunion.

“Jennifer was in the middle of her meal when she looked up and saw Brad on the other side of the restaurant. It came as a complete surprise and her mood instantly switched from cool and calm to anxious and upset,” the source said. “Instead of going over and greeting him, Jen decided it would be best to make a beeline for the door. She clearly couldn’t face the emotion of seeing Brad so made her excuses and bolted.”

According to the source, Aniston’s friends wrapped their arms around her as she left the bistro and got into her limo, where she “looked teary-eyed and broken in the back seat.” The source added, “It was a tough night for Jen, but she handled it with bravery and dignity. It takes a lot to rattle her like this, for sure.”

However, Gossip Cop said Woman’s Day Australia tried to support its claim with a paparazzi photo of Aniston looking down while sitting in the backseat of a chauffeured car but there was no indication she was “in tears.” Responding to the image, Aniston’s representative said “she is not crying. She is looking at her phone in the photo.”

This is not the first time Woman’s Day Australia got facts wrong about Aniston and Pitt. In April, the magazine falsely claimed Aniston was pregnant with Pitt’s baby and that the two have reunited. In July, the magazine alleged Pitt and Aniston married again. However, none of these claims were true.

According to representatives of both the stars, Aniston and Pitt have not spoken to each other in years. Despite this, several false rumors continued to emerge about the former couple following their split with their respective partners.

Following Aniston’s separation from husband Justin Theroux earlier this year, those close to the actress revealed, “she is focused on her own happiness” and has been enjoying her time alone. “She is very happy being single,” a source previously told People.
