Queen Elizabeth recently made headlines after it was reported that she removed Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s portrait from the Buckingham Palace’s Audience Room.

Royal fans noticed that changes in the Queen’s table shortly after Prince Harry and Markle’s interview in “Harry & Meghan: An African Journey” was released. As such, it was assumed that the monarch removed the royal couple’s photo because she was furious with what they said.

But it has now been revealed that this may not necessarily be the case. According to royal commentator Melanie Bromley, the photo of Prince Harry and Markle must have been removed for practical reasons.

“I’ve analyzed the table. On the table without – when Harry and Meghan’s picture was on there, actually, it went over. You couldn’t quite see William and Kate’s picture because it was three frames on the table as opposed to two. What now is on the table is reading glasses and some papers. I think the table also has practical reasoning to it, it’s where the Queen puts her cup of tea,” she told Express.

Bromley went on to say that having three picture frames on the table was a bit too much especially since Prince Harry and Markle’s snap covered the portrait of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. But Bromley also acknowledged the fact that the removal may have to do with the bigger rift within the royal family.

During their interview, Prince Harry told Tom Bradby that with every click of the camera, he remembers what happened to his late mother, Princess Diana. He vowed to never let the same thing happen to his wife.

Markle told the interview that not a lot of people have asked how she has been doing since she joined the royal family. She also said that having a stiff upper lip may be dangerous to a person’s health and sanity.
