Rebel Wilson surprised her fans this week when she revealed via social media that she's now a mom.
The 42-year-old Hollywood actress took to Instagram Monday to share a snap of her newborn child, a baby girl named Royce Lillian, whom she welcomed via surrogate.
"Beyond proud to announce the birth of my first child, Royce Lillian, born this past week via surrogate. I can't even describe the love I have for her, she's a beautiful miracle," Wilson wrote.
She continued, "I am forever grateful to everyone who has been involved, (you know who you are), this has been years in the making... but particularly wanted to thank my gorgeous surrogate who carried her and birthed her with such grace and care."
Wilson ended her post by voicing her respect for "all the moms out there," adding that she's "proud" to be part of their club.
Her friends and fans quickly flooded the post with warm comments, welcoming her daughter to the world. Wilson's "Pitch Perfect" co-stars Brittany Snow and Skylar Astin led the congratulatory messages.
"Aunt Britt is soooo excited to meet the newest Bella. I love you SO much, Rebs," Snow wrote.
"Congrats, Mama Rebel," Astin added.
"This is a surprising post! I had no idea that this was happening. A lot has happened to you lately. All the best, and congratulations on the news of becoming a mother," a fan wrote.
"You are going to make a wonderful mom," a different fan commented.
Wilson's shocking baby news came months after she came out in June and announced her romantic relationship with clothing and jewelry designer Ramona Agruma, People reported.
An unnamed insider told the outlet at the time that the relationship was "serious" and that the two were "super happy together."
Ever since their romance became public, both Wilson and Agruma have been watched closely by several entertainment news outlets. Just recently, there's been a murmur of a secret engagement between the two.
However, Wilson decided to quash the speculations over the weekend by sharing an Instagram Story featuring her and Agruma at Disneyland.
"Thanks for the well wishes but we are NOT engaged," she captioned the post, according to Entertainment Tonight.
