Rebel Wilson has revealed the real reason for starting a weight loss journey – a better chance at getting pregnant.

The 41-year-old actress informed her 10 million Instagram followers Thursday that she lost 65 pounds so that her chances of getting pregnant would increase.

When a fan asked her what motivated her to start losing weight in 2020, the actress replied, "That is such a massive question, but I'm going to try to answer it for you. It first started when I was looking into fertility stuff and the doctor was like, 'Well, you'd have a much better chance if you were healthier.'"

Wilson noted that after her doctor's advice, she "was actually a bit offended. I thought that even though I was bigger, I was pretty healthy."

The "How to Be Single" star said it encouraged her to get "started" with it as "If I lost some excess weight that it would give me a better chance for freezing eggs and having the eggs be a better quality."

The actress explained, "It wasn't even really myself, it was more thinking of a future mini-me, really."

In May, the actress opened up about her fertility struggle. Addressing women who were struggling with similar problems, she wrote, "I feel ya. The universe works in mysterious ways and sometimes it all doesn't make sense … but I hope there's light about to shine through all the dark clouds."

The actress has been updating her fans about her fitness journey after she began losing weight last year.

Last year in October, Wilson revealed she was only six pounds away from her fitness goal. A month later, she announced that she had successfully achieved her goal with healthy eating and exercise.

The actress is currently filming "Senior Year" while her other movie, "The Almond and the Seahorse," is under post-production. She was last seen in the movie "Cats," which was released in 2019.
