Rebel Wilson Warns Regarding Diet Pills: 'Do Not Want Anyone To Get Scammed'
Rebel Wilson clarified that she was not on a diet pill to lose weight nor she was on any magic weight loss pills.
"This was NEVER my diet, please stop writing this stuff," Wilson wrote on her Instagram Stories on Monday, ETCanada reported. The clarification came after an outlet claimed that she used pills to lose 77 pounds within one and a half years.
"Also have NEVER endorsed any diet pills or magic weight loss pills or crypto currency," she added. "If you see stuff like this online please report it as a scam — do not [send] it to me as a DM — report it on the social media site you see it on when you see it."
The 42-year-old actress further explained that if she wants to endorse something, fans will see it on her verified social media account. "If I’m endorsing something you’ll see it only as official posts on my official and verified social media," Wilson wrote.
Wilson concluded the message by noting that she doesn't want any fan to get scammed online. "Thanks everyone — it’s really annoying when people use my image unlawfully or in misleading ways,” she said. “Do NOT want anyone to get scammed," she concluded. "Love you guys xoxo."
The actress revealed in July last year that she had to lose weight to increase her chance of getting pregnant. Prior to that, she shared about her fertility struggle on Instagram in May.
"I got some bad news today and didn’t have anyone to share it with...but I guess I gotta tell someone. To all the women out there struggling with fertility, I feel ya," she wrote. "The universe works in mysterious ways and sometimes it all doesn’t make sense."
Following her body transformation, Wilson realized people were obsessed with her weight loss. The actress revealed she's received "more press... when I do nothing except lose weight" in an interview with Daily Telegraph last year.
"People are so obsessed with it. But I get it," she added.
Wilson went on to explain that her weight loss journey was successful because "it was the whole lifestyle approach and dealing with emotional eating. I'm not totally cured. I don't think you can be. But I've learnt to manage it – and it's not by reaching for a bowl of ice cream."
On the work front, the actress will be next seen in the movies like "Senior Year" and "The Almond and the Seahorse."
