'Red Dead Redemption 2' Might Feature Bigger Mexico Map Based On Datamine

“Red Dead Redemption 2” players have previously reported seeing a very small area of Mexico region through a glitch. But, overall, Mexico is not ever featured in the popular Wild West themed game. However, if the recent report pans out, players might soon be able to enjoy a bigger Mexico region considering that the latest datamine activities within the game’s files yielded a bigger Mexico map.

VideoTechUK, a member of GTAForums, revealed earlier that there are a lot of Mexico map models found in “Red Dead Redemption 2” files. These models include some locations that appeared in the first game installment, such as Chuparosa. The Mexico models found in the game’s files are disabled.

The file named nvo_01.rpf contains the most town models, such as Abounded Grave Yard, Chuparosa, and others. It is important to take note, however, that these models are LOD only. There are also mini-map data available on these locations, which appears like these places are available for exploration. At this point, however, it is difficult to assume what Rockstar Games is planning about these locations.

Although there is a great chance that a Mexico map might be introduced in the main game and later removed, it does not make sense to leave all this in the “Red Dead Redemption 2” files if the game developer does not intend to use these data in the future or at some point. Considering that the game is now available on the PC platform, it is possible that Rockstar Games is planning to expand “Red Dead Redemption 2” as well as “Red Dead Online” with a new region to explore. The game is one of the best open-world titles available out there, and it offers an experience that no fan of the genre should miss.

Meanwhile, Rockstar Games released the care package bonuses to select “Red Dead Redemption 2” players. This is concerning the promise the game developer said to players when the PC port of the game was just released. “Red Dead Redemption 2” is now available on various gaming platforms. This includes Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
