  • "Red Dead Redemption 2" new update does not offer new content or activities
  • Instead, it provides discounts and bonuses
  • The game is available on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Stadia

Rockstar Games previously confirmed that it is not interested in "Red Dead Redemption 2" Single-Player DLC. However, the recent spike in the petition's signature and more fans getting upset on a recent update, seemingly suggest players' thirst for new content.

"RDR2" Single-Player DLC Petition

A surprising surge in the signature of a two-year-old "Red Dead Redemption 2" single-player DLC petition could mean more fans want new game content. Gamerant recently found an old Change.org petition made by Ivan Ojeda, requesting Rockstar Games to consider a story expansion of "Red Dead Redemption 2."

While the petition never met its goal, it surpassed 5,000 supporters just a few days ago. The petition only has around 300 signatures in June 2020. To meet its goal, it still needs at least 2,300 signatures. However, even if the petition reaches its target, it still does not mean anything as far as the arrival of the single-player DLC is concerned. Nevertheless, it still seems that the players' desire to have the content has not gone away, only increasing.

New Update

Rockstar Games recently rolled out a new update, which seemingly frustrated a lot of "Red Dead Redemption 2" fans. Comicbook reported that fans appear to be losing hope and frustrated about the game. The most recent update does not offer fresh content or activities to keep themselves busy. Instead, the weekly update, for most of its part, introduced discounts and bonuses that most players on Twitter are not happy about.

The update introduces a bonus on a new type of employment, opportunities, races and rewards for playing with a Posse. The announcement of the weekly update was made by Rockstar Games on its official Twitter account. Interestingly, it was met by fans asking about "GTA 6" and statements of disappointment.

Rockstar Games released the "Red Dead Redemption 2" three years ago. In November 2020, the gaming studio confirmed that it will not release any single-player DLC to the sequel. The studio's support of the game has been exclusively confined to the game's online multiplayer component.

"Red Dead Redemption 2" is available on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Stadia.
