  • A new rumor claim that "Red Dead Redemption" remastered version is in the works

A remastered version of "Red Dead Redemption" is reportedly in its early stage of development and details about its potential release window have leaked online.

Rockstar Games is set to release the "Grand Theft Auto Trilogy" this month but it looks like another remastered title will follow suit. The latest rumor suggests that fans of the hit 2010 game "Red Dead Redemption" will soon get their hands on the title's remastered version.

An insider said "Red Dead Redemption Remaster" is currently in its early stage of development, French outlet Rockstar Magazine reported. Unfortunately, the magazine did not reveal on which platforms the game would launch but mentioned it would be along the same lines as the "Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy-The Definitive Edition."

It is safe to assume that the upcoming game would launch on PC and new-generation gaming consoles. It appears, however, that the game will not be released anytime soon as it is still in its early phase of development.

The insider also asked fans not to expect a complete remake of the original Wild West-themed title for the remastered version. Instead, the upcoming title would feature a visual overhaul, as well as an upgrade similar to the "Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy - The Definitive Edition."

If the claim that "Red Dead Redemption Remaster" would be developed in the same fashion as the "GTA Trilogy Remastered" is accurate, then it could have across-the-board upgrades with the same classic feel and look like the original. Rockstar Games could also design the game with high-resolution textures, environmental upgrades and new lighting.

However, there is no official confirmation from Rockstar Games. Fans would definitely hear more about "Red Dead Redemption Remaster" in the next few weeks.

Meanwhile, the "Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy - The Definitive Edition" is set to roll out digitally on PC and consoles on Nov. 11. The physical copy of the game will be available from Dec. 6.
