Reese Witherspoon’s Daughter Ava Pens Sweet Birthday Message For Dad Ryan Phillippe

Reese Witherspoon’s daughter, Ava Phillippe, celebrated her birthday on Saturday, Sept. 9. A day later, her dad, Ryan Phillippe, celebrated his special day as well.

On Sunday, Sept. 10, the 18-year-old beauty posted a sweet tribute for her dad via her Instagram account. Ava kept her message to the actor simple but heartwarming. She also included a throwback photo of Phillippe taken at a hospital. “Love being your early birthday present,” she wrote as part of her short but meaningful caption.

Phillippe had Ava when he was just 25 years old, while Witherspoon was only 23. The former couple went their separate ways in 2007.

Ava also shared a photo of the 18 letters she received from her mom to commemorate her special day. One letter was wrapped in a peach-colored ribbon and had the words “Ava’s 1st Birthday” on it. The teenager admitted that Witherspon’s letter made her cry really hard on her birthday.

The “Big Little Lies” actress, meanwhile, uploaded some photos of her daughter via her Instagram account. In one of the snaps, a young Ava had a huge smile on her face. In the second picture, the blue-eyed teenager is all grown up and looks exactly like her mom.

Phillippe also made sure to post a special tribute for his daughter on Saturday. In the first photo, a young Ava is sitting on her dad’s lap.

In the second picture, Ava is wearing a gypsy-inspired attire and rocking a guitar. Phillippe called Ava the “smartest” in his third picture of his daughter.

He said in his fourth post that Ava is the “most beautiful daughter a father could ever have.” Phillippe also guaranteed that Ava will always be his little girl no matter how old she is.

Last year, the “Cruel Intentions” actor credited his ex-wife for Ava’s popularity, especially on social media. “Well, she has an incredibly famous mother and a moderately famous father, but that’s how that works. Also, social media is largely driven by the youth and the association made within that group. She’s incredibly talented,” he told People.

Ava currently has more than 400,000 followers on Instagram.
