Reese Witherspoon's Lookalike Daughter Ava Stuns At Bal Des Debutantes In Paris
Reese Witherspoon's daughter, Ava Phillippe, is a debutante.
On Saturday, the "Big Little Lies" star's daughter with ex Ryan Phillippe joined the 25th annual Bal des Debutantes at The Peninsula Paris Hotel in France. For the event, Ava wore a gold ballgown by Giambattista Valli Haute Couture. She was escorted by Maharaja Padmanabh Singh of Jaipur, Us Weekly reported.
In this clip posted on Instagram, Ava looked calm and poised as she danced with her escort. She was all smiles as she took the dance floor and waltz to a song from the hit film "La La Land" in front of the other 19 debutantes including Steve Harvey's daughter, Lori Harvey.
The Bal des Debutantes started in 1992. It was created by Ophelie Renouard that aims to feature the daughters from notable families in lavish couture gowns. The event has attracted debutantes including Bruce Willis and Demi Moore's daughter Scout and Tallulah Willis, Sylvester Stallone's daughter Sophia Rose Stallone and Larry David's daughter Romy David. Robert Kennedy Jr.'s daughter Kyra Kennedy was also a past debutante, Entertainment Tonight reported.
In related news, Ava has a striking resemblance to her mom. In fact, the "Legally Blonde" star confessed that even her youngest son, Tennessee, gets confused between the two of them. "I think sometimes he even gets confused -- he told Ava 'Happy Mother's Day!'" Witherspoon, 41, told Southern Living.
In addition to this, back in February fans got confused between the mother and daughter duo. "People come up to her [all the time]. We were at a premiere and they were congratulating her on her performance," Witherspoon told E! News. "She's like, 'I'm not in the movie.'"
Unlike Witherspoon, her daughter is not interested in acting. Ava has no plans to follow her parents' career. However, she is very supportive of her mom's craft.
In September, Witherspoon's HBO series "Big Little Lies" received the limited series award at the 2017 Emmy Awards. After the ceremony, Ava shared a photo of her with her mom to congratulate her for the said recognition.
"I am so proud of how hard my mama has worked to showcase the stories and talents of strong women like herself, and I am so happy she's been officially recognized for it. Congrats to the whole BLL team!" Ava wrote on Instagram.
