Regina King And Malcolm Jamal-Warner Split: Actor Asks 'Southland' Star To Move Out Of Home, Says Source

Regina King and Malcolm Jamal-Warner have called it quits.

“Malcolm and I have a lot in common … we’ve both been child actors and were also blessed to be raised by incredible mothers who instilled good values in us. Things are maturing nicely … ” King said in a 2011 interview with Essence magazine.

The two went public with their relationship in 2011. King, 42, has starred on “227,” and many know Jamal-Warner, 42, from his role in “The Cosby Show.” Currently, King can been seen on “Southland” while Jamal-Warner can be seen on “Reed Between the Lines.”

They had previously been private about their relationship, with Jamal-Warner telling BET in October 2011, "We like to protect what we have because it's very special and very precious … But I will say that it’s a relationship that makes all the sense in the world."

Now, a source tells Us Weekly concerning their breakup, “He said he wasn’t feeling it anymore. She’s still very brokenhearted.”

The couple was reportedly living together in Los Angeles, but Jamal-Warner asked both King and her son from a previous marriage to move out of the home.

They are not the only celebrity couple to break up recently. According to reports in Us Weekly on Tuesday, Katy Perry and John Mayer have broken up for a second time.

Perry, 28, began dating Mayer, 35, during the summer of 2012.

"It's sad," said an insider close to the couple. "It's not over until it's over. You have to see how things play out."

Perry had previously been married to comedian Russell Brand; the two finalized their divorce last February.

Mayer previously dated stars such as Jennifer Aniston and Jessica Simpson.
