‘Reign’ Season 2 Spoilers: Episode 6 Synopsis Released Online; What Will Happen In ‘Three Queens’? [PHOTOS & VIDEO]
It’s not easy being queen on the CW’s “Reign.” After a rollercoaster of happiness and heartache for Mary (Adelaide Kane), the queen of Scotland and France will find herself in danger when episode 6, “Three Queens,” airs next Thursday.
When viewers left off, Mary and Francis (Toby Regbo) had lost their baby. And while the pair was devastated, they had a lot of distractions to help them move on. From religious unrest, the “ghost” of King Henry and Greer’s (Celina Sinden) wedding to Lord Castleroy (Michael Therriault), there was no time to take a breath in episode 5. And unfortunately for Mary, she won’t catch a break in episode 6 either.
The synopsis for “Three Queens” teases that Queens Mary and Catherine (Megan Follows), Mary's mother-in-law, will encounter an angry mob of peasants while they’re out on the road. With the country in trouble, the two women will be forced to conceal their identities after they are “forced to abandon their carriage and escape into the woods.”
Meanwhile, Francis fears that the uprisings in France are a “response to his own actions." With Leith (Jonathan Keltz) and Condé (Sean Teale) at his side, the king will form a search party. However the three will quickly realize that the attack was “actually a result of imposters abusing the power of the crown.”
The big jaw-dropper in episode 6 will come from new mother Lola (Anna Popplewell), who is struggling with moving on with her life while being forever attached to Francis. According to the synopsis Lola will attempt to become financially independent. It’s unclear if she’ll succeed – but she’ll get a “complicated yet intriguing offer from Lord Narcisse (Craig Parker).”
Will Lola consider striking up a relationship with Lord Narcisse after reading about him and his butterfly birthmark in episode 5? “Reign” fans will have to wait and see!
Season 2 episode 5 of “Reign” will air on the CW on Thursday, Nov. 6, at 9 p.m. EDT.
