Meanwhile, Elizabeth will learn that her attempt to stop her cousin’s marriage to Darnley failed. She is going to be angry and an angry Elizabeth is a dangerous Elizabeth. The promo of the episode shows the English queen strategizing her next move to attack Scotland. She plans to invade the country and has her army ready for her order.
Her advisor tells the virgin queen that she cannot invade Scotland without reason. “Then find me a reason,” she yells at him.
Meanwhile, in Scotland, Mary’s half-brother James (Dan Jeannotte) still distrusts Darnley. He tells her that her fiancé is insecure and selfish. But Mary is desperate to secure her claim to her cousin’s throne.
Later, when James fails to convince his sister not to marry her fiancé, he warns Darnley that if he betrays Mary, he will pay with his life. Yikes.
While England and Scotland battle it out, in the French court, Catherine (Megan Follows) and Narcisse (Craig Parker) join forces to find King Charles (Spencer MacPherson) and persuade him to return to the castle. News of his absence will only harm the Valois line of succession.
“Reign” Season 4 airs Fridays at 9 p.m. EDT on The CW.
