"While at work, without any initial interaction leading him to believe there's a potential threat, he was attacked by an inmate," Sheriff Paul Penzone said.

“Homes in the immediate area are being evacuated. If you need to be evacuated, you will be contacted by officers. Gilbert closed from Rosecrans to Imperial,” the Fullerton Police Department's public information officer tweeted.

"This behavior is not typical. It was chased by dogs, then me, then grabbed by me so it was very upset. I just tailed it, dropped it in the bag and released it,” the snake handler said.

The 51-year-old man stabbed his three friends to death with a knife as they fell asleep. He then dismembered their bodies before eating them.

The girl’s mother said she saw some furniture advertised on Facebook and took her daughter to the stranger’s home to buy it. This was when the stranger’s pet dog pounced on the girl and viciously attacked her.

The boy was hospitalized after he was bitten by the poisonous reptile that was hiding inside the shoe to keep itself warm.

The cat was playing in the garden when a man walked by with his two canines. Suddenly, the two dogs ran onto their garden and began attacking the cat.

The man pleaded guilty to the murder and was sentenced to nine-year imprisonment.

The owner hit the dog with a stick after he saw it relieving itself inside the home. He then went on to drag the canine with its hind legs before dumping it on the roadside.

“His quick-thinking mother, who recognized her son had been bitten by a venomous snake, rushed him to a nearby health facility," the rescue team said.

A medical examination revealed that the dog had a fracture to her back leg. The accused allegedly taped the canine’s mouth shut for several days as a result of which the animal had facial injuries.

Police found a cat lying dead on the road. An autopsy revealed that the cat was stabbed 20 times.

The dog’s owner tied the canine on the porch after it started barking at her neighbor. A few minutes after she went back home, she and her husband heard a loud noise and rushed outside to find their neighbor hitting the canine with a stick.

"Her paws and nails were also injured in a way suggesting she may have been dragged before she was abandoned or thrown from a vehicle," the vet said.

The couple was in Orlando over the weekend when they woke up to find the reptile in their room at the Sheraton Vistana Resort.

Police arrived at the scene and informed the dog’s owner that they needed to seize her pet. She immediately took the animal and drove off.

Police responded to a street after receiving reports that a man was yelling in the middle of the road. The responding officers saw the man raising a feline into the air with his hand while screaming in the middle of the street.

Neighbors saw the man throw his dog out of the window along with cages containing two hamsters and a guinea pig. While the canine did not over after hitting the ground, the hamsters and guinea pig managed to crawl away after the cages opened.
