'Resident Evil 7' Deal: Get The Game On Sale For $20 Off Today

Resident Evil 7 earned strong marks from critics as a return to form for the longstanding horror franchise and thanks to Amazon, you can get the title for cheap.

The game, which is Amazon’s Deal of the Day, is being sold by Amazon for $40. Physical copies of the game for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One qualify for the deal, while digital and PC copies are still at the full $60 price. You can purchase the deal until 12 a.m. PST.

In Resident Evil 7, you play as Ethan Winter, who has to search for his wife at an abandoned plantation. The game, which is set after Resident Evil 6, is the first game in the series to work entirely from a first-person perspective and features a heavy emphasis on puzzle and survival-horror elements. Since its launch in January, Resident Evil 7 has received a regular stream of news on slated updates for the horror title. The Banned Footage Vol. 1 and Banned Footage Vol. 2 downloadable content packs were released in January and February. The game, which also has 4K support for the PS4 Pro, has an additional Not A Hero DLC pack slated to be released later this spring.

Resident Evil 7 is also one of the flagship titles to support Sony’s PlayStation VR headset, as the entire game can be played through the virtual reality headset.
