Respawn's 'Apex Legends' Patch Stops Odd Bugs And Game Crashing
As popular as "Apex Legends" has been since it dropped on Feb. 4, it hasn’t been free of bugs or other problems. Thankfully, Respawn Entertainment has been quick about responding to these problems and has dropped the first patch to address some of the biggest issues in the game.
The patch was released on Tuesday across all platforms with patch notes available on the "Apex Legends" Reddit page.
For players on PS4, Respawn has addressed problems with GPU hangs to ensure a much smoother experience during games. It also ended the threat of possible game crashes if you press a button when the game is loading.
On Xbox One, equipping Gibraltar’s epic skins shouldn’t result in game crashes.
Across all platforms, Mirage’s special ability won’t cause game crashes. It also addresses issues of slow player movement after being revived. Considering how fast the game is, that last one is going to make a big difference.
With a game like "Apex Legends," quick response to problems like this can make or break the game and community around it. If you want proof of how it can ruin a game, look at the launch of Fallout 76. Respawn’s speed in patching these bugs could be a good sign of things to come for the future of "Apex Legends."
