New season, new drama -- that’s what fans should anticipate when “Revenge” returns to the small screen with its Season 4 premiere on Sept. 28. Or at least, that’s what the shocking trailer for the 2014 season suggests. In the first Season 4 promo, the hit ABC series introduces a new villain to the Hamptons -- and her name is Emily Thorne.

“My name is Victoria Grayson and I have a story to tell,” Madeleine Stowe’s character says as narrator in the trailer. “Over the past three years my family was destroyed, the love of my life murdered, my freedom taken away. When everything you love has been stolen from you someone has to pay. Emily Thorne, I’m coming for you.”

Can viewers expect an Emily-Victoria showdown in the Season 4 premiere? Not quite, but they should prepare themselves for a whole lot of action! The synopsis for episode 1, “Renaissance,” teases that Emily will host “her most surprising party ever” in the premiere. And from the promo photos from the episode, which you can check out below, we have to admit she’s right.

“Victoria will find a way to turn her greatest setback into a dangerous advantage,” the summary continues. As we all know, Victoria is currently locked away in a mental hospital thanks to a little meddling from Emily. But leave it to Conrad’s wife to find a way to manipulate her dreary situation.

“Meanwhile, unbeknownst to Emily and Victoria, David Clarke plans his next move, on the Season 4 premiere of ‘Revenge,’” the synopsis concludes. Recently E! News teased that viewers will be saying goodbye to another character when an important figure in the Hamptons, who also had ties to Conrad, mysteriously dies. Could David have something to do with it?
