KEY POINTS
- Brandi Glanville offered her "rib cage" to Armie Hammer in now-deleted tweets Monday
- The "RHOBH" alum insisted she was not aware of the extent of the allegations against Hammer
- Some Twitter users are not buying Glanville's claims
Brandi Glanville has claimed that she was not aware of the controversy and allegations against Armie Hammer when she tweeted a flirty message for the actor Monday.
In since-deleted tweets, the "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" alum offered her "rib cage" to Hammer, adding, "how do you just keep getting hotter and hotter #letsbbq."
Glanville faced backlash for the controversial posts, leading her to respond, "I'm not sorry I don't take it back it was a f-----g joke clearly I need my rib cage but maybe he can have one my kidneys." The 48-year-old also told her critics to "get some hobbies."
Glanville eventually deleted the tweets and claimed she hadn't been aware of how serious the allegations against Hammer truly were before she wrote the posts.
"Guys I DID NOT KNOW the extent of whats being alleged against AH I just read he was getting divorced and thought he was hot. No more headline porn for me! I have learned my lesson," she wrote Monday.
One fan commented on Glanville's tweet, saying, "Never edit yourself. It is what is. You didn’t know."
Responding to the fan, the "RHOBH" alum wrote, "Thanks it when I saw the headlines I went and read all the stuff and now I do kind of feel bad I don’t want people to hurt oreat other people ever."
Glanville's statement received mixed responses from netizens, with some saying her initial tweet wasn't that bad.
"Who the f--k cares if she 'offered' her rib cage. Is it YOUR rib cage? No. So why is this bothering everybody? Let people be, damn," one person wrote.
Others, however, did not believe Glanville's claim that she wasn’t aware of the cannibalism rumors as she specifically mentioned her rib cage. Hammer's ex Courtney Vucekovich, who said she suffered from trauma and PTSD, alleged to the Daily Mail last month that he wanted to break her rib and eat it.
"You referenced your rib. Honey. You knew. It’s okay to make a bad joke but at least own it," one Twitter user wrote on Glanville's post.
"Uhhh your first tweet stated that he could have your rib ... you clearly knew enough to make an educated assumption of what kind of creep he is... but still went with it," @Jenna _M89 added.
"You DID know about the cannibalism bc you referenced him eating your ribs. Like your buddy Rinna says, just own it and apologize like an adult," another commented.
"Yeah she obviously knew. Playing dumb ain’t cute Brandi," Hadley Eaton added.
