‘RHOC’ Star Meghan King Edmonds’ Ex Jim Reveals Grim Details About Failed Marriage

It's not Thanksgiving, but Jim Edmonds is feeling thankful.

On Tuesday, the estranged husband of "The Real Housewives of Orange County" alum Meghan King Edmonds dedicated an Instagram post to his current girlfriend Kortnie O'Connor. In the post, which contained a series of photos of Kortnie and the couple together, he opened up about the mental toll his previous relationship had on him.

"If it wasn’t for this girl, I don’t think I would be here right now. She showed up in my life just at the right time," he began.

"Amazing that her taking a chance on a plus one weekend to Mexico pulled me out of my hole and changed my life forever. I was in such a dark place; one that I didn’t think could happen to me," the 49-year-old continued. "I was going through hell ending a loveless and abusive relationship. The lies and accusations that followed the breakup only put me deeper into a funk. Along came this beautiful woman by chance, who lit up my world and brought me back to life."

Jim concluded, "I’m very grateful for my amazing friends, children and this amazing woman for making me a better person and father.

The post comes amid Jim's divorce from Meghan. The duo, who have three children together -- 3-year-old daughter Aspen and 1-year-old twin sons Hart and Hayes -- did have a prenup. However, the former "RHOC" star is contesting it in court, despite her ex's alleged generosity.

A rep for Jim explained in a statement from May that, "Jim is voluntarily paying Meghan more than three times the amount of child support required by court guidelines."

In addition, the father of seven is "letting her live in one of his homes in St. Louis and is paying the mortgage and all the bills for that house" as well as giving the 35-year-old funds to employ a nanny and a housekeeper.

"He pays for almost every single expense related to the children. And he pays half the rent on her Los Angeles beach house," the rep added. "Jim has been beyond generous to Meghan and provides full financial support for his children."
