'RHONJ' Joe Giudice Update: Reality Star Faces New Legal Hurdles In Deportation Case
Since October 2018, "Real Housewives of New Jersey" star Joe Giudice has been fighting deportation following his release from prison. Due to the ongoing nature of the legal process, the reality star initially asked to wait out the ultimate decision at his New Jersey home. Subsequently, Giudice is said to now be thinking of requesting the opportunity to return to his native Italy until a conclusion is reached in the ongoing case. However, it appears that Giudice may not get a final answer anytime soon.
According to Radar Online, the television star will be "stuck in ICE custody indefinitely." After requesting that the "stay of removal" be lifted, the Attorney General agreed to lift the motion. However, a court order was then issued to transfer the motion over to a panel of judges who would make the final call. An insider shared that there is "no telling how long the panel will take to come to a decision."
If Giudice's request to return to his New Jersey residence is ultimately denied and he is officially ordered to remain in ICE custody, the 47-year-old will reportedly "pull his appeal and get ready to go to Italy." This is said to be due in part to the "horrible conditions" that the television star has had to endure during his time at the facility.

These new developments came after Giudice's two previous attempts to appeal the decision were denied. On Sept. 11, the "Real Housewives" star appeared via teleconference in order to ask for the presiding judge to set him free, but ultimately the bond was denied.
As for how Joe's family has been handling the situation, Gia, his oldest daughter with wife Teresa, has seemingly been the one to keep everyone together. "Gia has been a rock for her family during these times," a source recently revealed to People.
Even though at this time Joe is said to be "really resigned to the fact that he'll be deported," he still continues to make unexpected plans for the future. At this time, it remains unclear when Joe will receive a final answer regarding the status of his deportation.
Season 10 of "The Real Housewives of New Jersey" premieres Nov. 6 at 9 p.m. EDT on Bravo
