'RHONJ' Star Teresa Giudice Weighs In On Lori Loughlin College Admissions Scandal
From one television star to another, "Real Housewives of New Jersey" star Teresa Giudice has some words for Lori Loughlin.
Teresa has dealt with her own legal woes over the years, including some jail time of her own, and has come out stronger than ever on the other end. Having lived through this difficult time in her life, she seemed fairly confident that Loughlin, who faces jail time for her role in the college admissions scandal, will be okay.
"I'm sure she'll make it through," Teresa told Entertainment Tonight. "I feel women are strong. We have babies, we do it all. I'm sure whatever outcome it is, I'm sure she'll be fine with it."
The reality star also had some advice for the "Fuller House" actress when it comes to explaining things to her two daughters, 20-year-old Oliva and 21-year-old Bella.
"Her daughters are older… You know, she did it for her daughters and, I mean, her daughters are grateful for what she did," Teresa explained. "She was just looking out for her daughters and trying to get them into a good school. But I guess that's it, just be open with them, and whatever the outcome is, it is. You have to deal with it and move forward."
Loughlin and her husband, Mossimo Giannulli, currently face charges of mail and wire fraud, honest services mail and wire fraud, and conspiracy to commit federal programs bribery for allegedly paying $500,000 for their children to attend USC. Loughlin and Giannulli have pleaded not guilty to the charges.
While Loughlin and Giannulli are likely hoping to be finished with their legal woes soon, Teresa might bring upon some more for herself by divorcing her husband, Joe. The "RHONJ" couple recently reunited in Italy after Joe served a 41-month prison sentence and, according to sources, the visit didn't do much to save their marriage.
"They’re definitely getting a divorce," an insider shared. "Even if Joe is allowed to move back to the U.S., Teresa is done with him."
