Rick Santorum Tops Mitt Romney In Louisiana Primary Election
Rick Santorum won Louisiana's Republican Party presidential primary election on Saturday.
With 100.0 percent of the state's election precincts reporting, Santorum, the former U.S. senator from Pennsylvania, had 91,305 votes (49.0 percent), according to Google.
Santorum was followed by Mitt Romney, the former governor of Massachusetts, with 49,749 votes (26.7 percent); Newt Gingrich, the former speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives from Georgia, with 29,655 votes (15.9 percent); and Ron Paul, the U.S. representative from Texas, with 11,460 votes (6.1 percent).
