Rihanna Designs Furry Slides For Fenty Puma Collection For Summer

Rihanna’s latest shoe collection from her Spring/Summer 2016 collection is ready for launch. The 28-year-old singer’s third shoe collection for Puma — Fenty Puma by Rihanna — will release on April 22.

The “Work” singer gave a sneak-peek of the comfy kicks in September, rocking them on her Fader 100 cover and then on a date night with ex-flame Travis Scott, pairing them with a Puma zip-up track jacket. For her third release, RiRi has opted for exposed toes with a pair of super-luxe, faux-fur trimmed shower shoes.

Known for her uniquely eclectic assortment of accessories and ensembles, RiRi’s new furry slides will be available at Puma stores, Puma.com and global retailers. The singer has taken on summer style with her new slides.

The slides are similar to any average slip-on sandal that people wear to the pool or the gym, except the top is covered in furry fabric. While it may not be the most practical shoe, it definitely makes a statement. The fur slide is a remake of the “timeless PUMA Leadcat performance silhouette worn by football players off the pitch,” and “great to rock with socks or without,” a Puma press release said.

The footwear is apt “for the poolside or hanging around the city.” The slide-on shoe, made of cruelty-free fur, has a satin foam backing. The brand’s signature cat is emblazoned on the shoe’s top, and “Fenty Puma by Rihanna” is stamped on the heel and footbed. The furry slides come in three colorways of white, black and shell, and are priced at $80.

Rihanna’s slides are the most affordable of her footwear yet. Her trainers cost $180 and the creepers are priced at $120. The “Diamonds” hitmaker likes to wear the fuzzy footwear with everything from activewear to floor-length dresses.
