We're building two sections on the stage [for the fans. They'll be] closer than they've ever been. It's real VIP, the 'Umbrella' hitmaker told on the show.

Rihanna performed 'California King Bed' in the result show, which show the first male contestant Paul McDonald go home.

The first ever 'American Idol' Kelly Clarkson also performed Thursday night. She sang a duet with country singer Jason Aldean 'Don’t You Wanna Stay'.
