Rihanna Stops Concert In London And Curses Out Live Band During 777 Tour
Rihanna cursed out her live band while on her 777 tour stop in London.
After beginning to sing “Where Have You Been,” she stopped suddenly, turning away from the audience and to her band.
"Alright, what the [expletive]. Stop this [expletive]. What the [expletive] is that? Why is the track off from the band? This is the [expletive] we deal with when we are just doing a random rock and roll tour with no rehearsal and [expletive]."
Rihanna then apologized to her fans.
"I apologize for everyone [live streaming] at home ... We are going to start this one again from the top," she said, before restarting the song.
Rihanna announced Tuesday that she will be performing her last tour stop in New York at Webstar Hall.
“NYC...We gon tun [sic]up tonight at @websterhall ! #LastStop #777Tour Thank you #HTC #Budweiser #UNAPOLOGETIC,” she wrote on Twitter.
Last Wednesday, Rihanna kicked off her "777" tour, which takes her to seven countries in seven days as she promotes "Unapologetic," her seventh album in seven years.
She boarded a private Boeing 777, the world’s largest twinjet, along with 150 journalists and a select number of fans. Her first stop was Mexico City, from there she continued to Toronto, Stockholm, Paris, Berlin, and London. She ends her tour Wednesday night in New York.
"I am so excited about the 777 Tour," Rihanna said on her official website. "We are turning this jumbo jet into our tour bus. We're practically living on this thing for a week: sleeping, partying, all together. Me, my fans, the press ... it's going to be a wild ride. I wanted it to be a rock n' roll adventure, and I think when it's over it will be the coolest thing I've ever done. I'm that excited about it."
But according to passengers on the plane, not every moment was a party. Rihanna allegedly had stopped partying with the journalists and fans a day into the global tour. On Sunday night, while heading to London, some passengers became disgruntled.
Jason Newman, a senior writer at Fuse magazine, said that the passengers went “into revolt mode” Sunday night, with reporters yelling, “Occupy 777.” Some even chanted Rihanna's song lyrics, such as “where have you been?/Are you hiding from me?”
An Australian journalist stripped naked and ran down the aisles of the plane in frustration, reportedly causing the passengers to cheer.
Overall, however, Rihanna’s 777 tour was a huge success for the star.
"Unapologetic" was released on Nov. 19.
