Rihanna wants to take Leonardo DiCaprio for a dinner for his first Oscar win, Hollywood Life reported Monday. DiCaprio and Rihanna have been surrounded with dating rumors recently after the two were spotted at same nightclubs twice this year.

“She [Rihanna] was very happy that he won an Oscar last night and decided to congratulate him briefly via FaceTime,” a source told Hollywood Life. “It was a very quick conversation, and Ri told him she was ‘proud’ of him,” the insider added.

The gossip website reported citing the source that the 41-year-old did not expect the “Diamonds” singer’s call. “Leo was speechless because he wasn’t expecting her to call. Leo thanked her and held up the Oscar so she could see it. That was pretty much the extent of their phone call. It’s a big deal for Leo, and Ri wants to at least take him to dinner so they can celebrate soon.”

However, the source reportedly shot down the speculations of the two dating. Hollywood Life also reported that DiCaprio’s representative denies that the 28-year-old called the Academy Award winner to congratulate him.

“Rihanna can’t stand Leo sometimes because he’s such a bad boy and a player,” the insider told Hollywood Life. “Clearly, they’re not dating but they do have a connection and continue to talk and even FaceTime.”

DiCaprio and Rihhana were spotted outside a nightclub in New York City, fuelling dating rumors in February. However, it remained unclear if DiCaprio and Rihanna interacted. In January, the two triggered dating rumors after they were reportedly seen kissing at a Paris nightclub. However, according to TMZ, sources said that the two were only victim of bad angle in the photo.

Much recently, “The Revenant” star was linked with Irish television presenter Laura Whitmore. DiCaprio reportedly invited Whitmore to his hotel suite following their meeting at the BAFTA after-party earlier in February.

On the other hand, Rihanna is rumored to have got back together with her former boyfriend Drake. The rumored reunion reportedly left Drake “totally besotted” and the two, according to a report, were seen kissing at a London nightclub. Drake and Rihanna reportedly did not attempt to hide their romance at the nightclub.
