Rihanna's Dad: You Used To Be Fat, And Your Abusive Ex Is Fine!
Robyn Fenty, a.k.a. Rihanna, and her father Ronald.
Just when you thought the Rihanna/Chris Brown scandal couldn't get any sadder, Robyn's father, Ronald Fenty, just said he approves of his daughter's abusive ex-boyfrind Chris Brown! Oh yeah, and Rihanna used to be fat...?!
That's what Rihanna, born Robyn Fenty, told British gossip mag Heat in an exclusive interview.
I actually thought she was a little fat the last time I saw her, Ronald Fenty told Heat, likely referring to their meeting this past Christmas. But when I saw her at this year's Grammys, I thought she was back to her normal size. I used to joke with her, 'Robyn, you're getting too fat.' But I think she's fine.
As for her troubled relationship with Chris Brown (just today Star magazine claimed that they're getting married soon!), Ronald Fenty told his famous daughter, Chris is a nice guy and everybody's entitled to make mistakes in their life – God knows how many I've made. She's her own woman now. (What's that supposed to mean, Ron??)
Sadly, this isn't the first time Rihanna's father has revealed himself to be a jerk. In December 2010 he and Rihanna reunited after two years apart, sparked by her father drinking and trashing her tour bus.
We did have a disagreement about the drinking on the tour. I got plastered on the tour bus. I can drink rum or beer but vodka does not like me – or gin, Ronald, who has apparently not accepted that he's an alcoholic, told the Mirror earlier this year. He also reportedly smoked crack cocaine when Rihanna was growing up, and had a troubled relationship with her mother.
She blasted me for that, he said, referring to the tour bus incident. She was always lippy from her small days. I was picked up from the hotel in the morning and I was just shuttled to the airport.
Maybe we're not as close as we were when she was growing up here and was at school, Rihanna's father told the Mirror. But we are blood, we do not stay angry and we are friends again.
So what do you say, commenters – bad father, or worst father?
